NFSAL JOURNAL BANNER.jpg

Magic Wand by bikershead Magical525 and   Butterflies by pjuk Mattsma have come up with a way for you to use that neglected floss you have laying around.  For some of you, it probably bothers you just a tiny bit that you have these flosses that never get used or there is just a tiny bit left of some specialty floss that you may never use again in a pattern so here is the best way to ensure you use every  one of them at least once, or finish them off entirely!  Gifted floss, those bobbins that sit quietly in your floss boxes, bags, or drawer never getting used or are forgotten…oh yes, we have something fun for you!   Rainbow Butterfly - F2U! by Drache-Lehre

Magical525 will provide a pattern, you just grab three random colors, or get color coordinated, and stitch up the pattern using those old neglected flosses.  Random number generator works for those times when you cannot decide.  Or close your eyes and reach into your stash and use whatever comes out. Butterfly Pink - F2U! by Drache-Lehre

Butterfly Turq - F2U! by Drache-Lehre This is going to be a year long SAL to start, so before you begin, consider how you would like to stitch this up.  Some patterns will be 20 x 20 stitches all the way to 50 x 50 stitches.  Because of the size variations, you could create a lovely sampler-type project, or save each one and then, when you have quite a few….make BISCORNU (yes I’m biased as we love making them).  The possibilities are endless!

Flower Bullet (Peach) - F2U! by Drache-Lehre The patterns are lovingly created by Magical525 and are FREE.  You provide the neglected flosses, and while you are at it…dig out those little pieces and parts of fabrics you have laying around that you don’t know what to do with!  These will make PERFECT on the go travel projects.

Flower Bullet (Red) - F2U! by Drache-Lehre  The flosses do not have to be DMC, they can be ANY NEGLECTED FLOSS you have laying around. Have two strands of some Weeks Dye Works left over?  Use that up until it’s gone! Then start a new floss where you left off. Test out those metallics or silks or satins that you are nervous about using!

Flower Bullet (Blue) - F2U! by Drache-Lehre Submit your finished piece to the Contest Folder, even though this isn’t a contest, just a little SAL.

USE THEM ALLLLLLLLLLLLL!  Magical525 is working on one that will blow your mind and honestly, if you don't think about the color combos and just pick five it will be seriously awesome no matter what :D  What I tried to do was have one Very dark, then two medium dark and two light, then I played around with the spirals a little to see what effect I could get with each one.  :D
