June NFSAL by Mattsma June NFSAL by Mattsma
Magical525 created a most amazing pattern for June.  She created this pattern with me in mind specifically.  Anyone who knows me knows I like things in order.  Everything has a place (unless one is creating something then the chaos wins), but lately things have been off kilter.  If you look at this pattern you will see that although it appears to be neat and tidy, it is all just a bit off kilter.

For this pattern I decided to make six sides for a cube.  I did not get all six sides done in time for this month's reveal,  but I will finish it very soon and share the Cube of Oblique.

Fabric:  28 ct Mushroom Sohoma Lugana

Flosses:

Kreniek Silk Mori:  4167, 5016 (all gone now),4037, 1117, 2026, 20244033, 7124, 6104, 8073, 4166, 7014, 7135, 1105, 6086, 5055, 1092, 3021, 5053, 1107, 3015, 8075, 8000, 8050, 1114

These Silks all came in a kind of sampler box from Joann's Fabrics.  It was really expensive (or so I thought) until I checked out the cost for a full skein of silk floss and found the price to be right on and they came in a nice, sturdy box.  After stitching all of these squares I am TOTALLY in love with silk floss.

I think the best part of stitching up so many different colors of squares is showing just how versatile one pattern can really be.  Even though I am very happy to be using my lovely silks (which I'm trying to use up), just imagine what you could create using any and every color of DMC?  Or WDW?  Or Sullivan's?  Or JodyRi?  I think my head just popped off my neck....oh dear....issues....

So please enjoy June's Neglected Floss Stitch Along and grab whatever 5 colors and go for it :D

Magical525 and   Mattsma have come up with a way for you to use that neglected floss you have laying around.  For some of you, it probably bothers you just a tiny bit that you have these flosses that never get used or there is just a tiny bit left of some specialty floss that you may never use again in a pattern so here is the best way to ensure you use every  one of them at least once, or finish them off entirely!  Gifted floss, those bobbins that sit quietly in your floss boxes, bags, or drawer never getting used or are forgotten…oh yes, we have something fun

That pattern is all Magical525  but I'll tell you it is incredible fun to stitch...now that I have stitched it a few times I have it down and can zone out while I stitch.  Very relaxing :D
