Let's see, the majority of the stones are amethyst, there's tigers eye, the tan ones separating each section are jade (can't remember which kind but there is a special name) and the pink ones I honestly can't remember, they aren't rose quartz............I DO remember that much As for the placement, I liked the amethyst simply for the healing part because when you go into a kind of mantra or trance-like state when doing any kind of prayer (whether you are wiccan or otherwise) it's always nice to have something to help soothe the mind and spirit as you go along. I'm thinking I'm going to make another one just as fantastic, but I think I'll do some research on stones more appropriate for clearing the mind and healing the spirit.
I'm not wiccan, but I am a witch. Ive considered making some witches prayer beads They are black, red and white (the ones I saw anyway). Was just wondering if you chose your stones for a reason, or because they just wanted to play *lol*
Actually those were the only stones I had on hand that were drilled! I'm still thinking that next time I will have to carefully select the next batch of stones to be more conducive for the purpose of the rosary (meditation thingy, gack, whatever)
( My Gallery plays up from time to time, its mostly the messages, suddenly i will get every comment left for the last three months, or at other times they will all disapear, even though I've not read them, DA is a little bumpy I've found, keeps me on my toes )
When I made the rosary it was because I was unhappy with the plastic beads and the dang crucifix catches on everything......not to mention I have different views about the rosary than the current Catholic Church does (read the history and see what I mean) in the end it's all about chant, mantra and meditation right? Say Hail Mary ten times (or more) in a row and a person does feel calm, but you could really say any kind of prayer (Budhist, Muslim, Wiccan) and still feel wonderful when you are finished. So, I made it and REALLY love it. I believe it is a versatile version of something spiritual regardless of the religious persuasion. I'm very glad you like it
